The Left Bank, LLC is a joint project of Preservation Trust of Vermont and The Fund for North Bennington.

Both Vermont organizations work to preserve historic resources and enhance communities.

The Fund for North Bennington, Inc is dedicated to enhancing community life in and around the Village of North Bennington, Vermont.

The Fund supports community efforts in education, social services, planning, the arts and historic preservation. It also preserves undeveloped land to conserve natural resources, maintain agricultural uses, and to provide opportunities for public recreation.

Through all its activities, The Fund seeks to maintain and strengthen the special physical character and social fabric of North Bennington. The Fund relies on donations from the public to support its operations.

Preservation Trust of Vermont, Inc. initiates, stimulates and assists local and statewide efforts to preserve and use Vermont's rich collection of historic, architectural, cultural and community resources.

Through partnerships with businesses, foundations, legislators and individual donors, PTV supports preservation projects with an emphasis on revitalizing Vermont's downtowns and village centers. PTV has assisted with the renewal of many historic Vermont properties, including the Lake House on Grand Isle and currently the Marble Museum in Proctor. The National Trust for Historic Preservation presented its Trustees' Award for Organizational Excellence to PTV in 2010.

Both The Fund for North Bennington, Inc. and Preservation Trust of Vermont, Inc. are tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

The Left Bank, LLC is a joint project of the two organizations – created to preserve and renew the historic 1864 bank building in the center of North Bennington.
